Business Process Re-engineering Courses (BPR)

There are three Business Process Re-engineering courses. Each course is designed to develop the knowledge and skill needed to analyze, build, and improve workflows and processes within and organization. Graduates of these courses will learn the concepts, approaches, and applications needed to re-engineer core business processes with the goal of reducing cost and improving product value, output, and quality.

Integrated Management Systems

The Integrated Management System (IMS) course is designed to develop understanding of the Army’s IMS framework as a blueprint for leading and managing high-performing organizations. With this understanding, students will be able to critically assess operations of their own organizations and provide recommendations for their continuous improvement. It requires between 20 and 30 hours of pre-work and four days of virtual classroom time. Within 90 days after the final classroom day, the student is required to submit and end-of-course project which will required up to 40 hours to complete.

Enterprise Business Management Course

The Enterprise Business Management Course (EBMC) is designed to develop an understanding of business management principles, operational readiness, and business reform in the Business Mission Area. Students will learn about the Army’s defensive business systems and enterprise architecture, portfolio management, and how to employ Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Continued Process Improvement (CPI) techniques to manage change.

Army Contracting Efficiency (ACE)

This course is designed to develop skill in managing the requirements-to-procurement process. The course involves two-weeks of in-person instruction or three-weeks of virtual instruction, and is followed by a twelve-week Capstone Project.

The Center for Army Analysis is now offering a guide to access and set up a Python environment in the cloud on DOD networks. This guide will help you get started and direct you to other resources where you can learn how to program in Python.
